Lori's Instagram Sew {Fun} Along

If you haven't join Lori Holt's Sew Along over on Instagram
then you are missing out!

over on her blog she explains how to get to it.

I have say I am usually one of those to busy to join in right now or I say I am going to do that next year, well I have to say I so glad I made time.
I even started a bit late which is ok.

Lori would post a new block or tell everyone what page in her book the block to be done is.
And she would even give picture hints of whats to fun!

She did have the best directions. And they were easy to follow. She also has very good pictures.
And it was so fun to see all the different fabrics everyone choose.

Lori made it fun to do each block. And after doing your block you add #haveyourselfaquiltylittlechristmas
Then everyone can look at everyone's progress and fabrics.

It is so fun and I enjoyed the anticipation of what the next block would be.
Every quilt looks darling and very different from the other.
I don't think anyone isn't having a blast!

I am so mad I haven't done the other ones she did.
But that is a mistake I won't make in the future.
It was so fun!!!

The stocking was really fun we didn't know what it was for a bit.....
toooo fun!!!

I did do my boarder different but I did use a different one in the book.
I do hope everyone has her book its too cute for words.

I did my quilt using a layer cake and the left overs I used for the back.
It really didn't take that much fabric to join in on the holiday fun.

Can't Stop Eating....

These are the best crackers EVER!
I was trying to find something not sweet to take to a retreat I am going to and decided to try these out on my husband. If they past though him then I know the ladies will like them.
And he has made several trip back and forth to the bowl.
So Winner Winner.
They are so easy to make the only hard part is it takes 4 hours for them to be done....
crying and crying but so worth the wait.
Here is the recipe:

3 sleeves of saltine crackers with unsalted tops
1 pkg dry zesty Italian dressing
1 pkg dry Ranch dressing
1 Tablespoon red pepper flakes
1¼  c canola oil

Mix the dressings, red pepper flakes and canola oil together.  Pour over saltines in an airtight container.  Carefully Turn the container every 30 minutes for 4 hours.  We don't want them broken. After 4 hours be prepared to just sit and eat and eat them.
We eat them plain and with different cheeses and they were so good!

Dresden Fun

I was having so much fun quilting last week.
Dresdens!! I love making them.
Using Lori Holt's thimble rulers make it easy.

Sewing them on the squares!

Then the quilting began!
